Yesterday we went out to dinner at Terrapin.  They have an awesome deal on Wednesday’s.  You get fried chicken, mac n cheese, a veggie, aaaaannd a glass of Pinot Noir for $20!  It’s amazing and so much food!!

Bond has not concept of personal space.  All space is his space, as it was pointed out to me…

I am loving Panic at the Disco’s new song Miss Jackson.  Seriously, I’ve been listening to it on repeat.

But I do wonder what the deal is with artists using “Miss Jackson” in their songs.

Yesterday I ran on the treadmill for, wait for it, 30 mins without stopping or walking.  Who’s impressive?  Right, right?  Hey it’s all about the little victories.

Another little victory?  I made these chicken tenders and they were delicious.  Really they were and they even came out crunchy, which is an issue when making baked breaded things.  By the by How Sweet It Is is one of my favorite food recipe blogs.

Happy Thursday!

Mutliple musings/musical Monday

19 Mar

Howdy!  Everybody recovering from St. Patty’s Day?

My St. Patrick’s weekend was pretty good.  As you saw, Leanne, Phil and I did really well in the Shamrock 8K!  I broke my Lenten sacrifice on Saturday to have some really good corned beef hash.  To bad the service at Rt. 58 was horrible!  They were really busy, but it’s pretty messed up when a table that came in after us got their food before us…not cool.

In order to get me in the Irish spirit I watched Notting Hill.  What?  That’s not your quintessential  Irish movie.  Hmm, who’d a thunk!  Anyway, did you know that Lord Grantham is in Notting Hill?

I had totally forgotten about that!  There he was still not quite in the same reality as everybody else.

Sunday, was delicious.  We went to Terrapin and had there March Madness 3 for $30 deal.  Everybody got a first, entrée and dessert; plus wine was 25% off by the bottle!  A good night for reals.  Oh and I may or may not have gotten some truffle mac n cheese to go…

Tomorrow Leanne and I are going to see WICKED!  I’m super stoked!  One of my favorite Broadway actresses, Kristin Chenoweth starred as Glinda in Wicked when it first started.  So why not show a little K. Cheno love?

My New Philosophy

Girl’s got some pipes…Glitter and Be Gay

Seriously if I had even an ounce of her singing ability…

She was super adorable in Pushing Daisies

But I’ll always love her most as Glinda!

School News

I had to help proctor a test today.  One of the students in the group wrote that he loved his fourth grade year the best!  Guess who was his teacher that year??  This girl!  Nothing like a confidence boost while sitting and watching while others take a test for 5 hours!

Happy Hump Day

20 Dec

Yes, that’s right, I said it!  We have a shortened week so today is really my hump day!

I had a spectacular weekend!

1- I got my Masters degree in Reading Education

2- My mom, dad, and brother got to come down and celebrate with me

3- I got to go out to eat at my favorite restaurant in VA Beach Terrapin, with some really cool people!

Weekend recap…in photos…

When my parents got off the plane, I hurried them over to the Cape Henry Lighthouse to walk 191 steps.  Okay, not right away, I gave them lunch first 😉  The Cape Henry Lighthouse is the first landing spot.  Not Plymouth Rock oooooh no, Cape Henry.

That night we went to a Pops concert, which was awesome.

Bond always gets kinda weird when company comes over.  He especially likes to know where everyone is and what they are doing at all times…

Clingy much?

The next day the fam and I went to Williamsburg Winery to try out some wines

It was only $10 for a tour of the winery and wine tasting, pretty good deal I’d say.

The highlight of the day was eating dinner at Terrapin with Mom, Dad, Andrew, Leanne and Phil.  Look Terrapin was even excited for me!

So they gave me a MBA instead of a MS Ed, no biggie.  I still thought it was super cool!

Tonight  I am mainly wrapping Christmas presents…

Wrapping Christmas presents while drinking mimosa’s that is.  What!?  I can’t let the champagne loose allll it’s bubbles!
