Weekend Happenings

3 Jun

After today there is only one more Monday left in the school year. Thank. The. Lord.

This weekend we headed out to Busch Gardens and needless to say, good times were had by all.

Busch Gardens was really not that busy and the longest line we had to wait in was for Verbolten. Not too shabby. I’m a big fan of the one year one park pass. It lets you break up the pass cost through 12 months. Very helpful for poor school teachers and anyone for that matter.

School Stories

Today during calendar a little boy raised his hand to answer what the pattern was. What was on the screen were blue three shells like this:

And a brown shell like this:

So the little boy said, “Shell, shell, shell, meatloaf. Shell, shell, shell, meatloaf.”

Indeed, with a theme of beach and pictures of the ocean on the calendar the logical picture to be on the calendar with shells is meatloaf.

While I love that the gym is right below me in our apartment, I’ve been getting a little bored with the routine. On Friday I tried a HIIT treadmill workout. I found this one on PBfingers Pinterest page.

It definitely made the workout fly by and I’ve been working on getting my arms more toned. The only thing with HIIT is that you have to get over the strange looks as you run and then stop, run and then stop. But guess what! You’re getting a better workout! Totally worth it.
