Well…my car is still broken… But at least I got pancakes this morning aaannnddd I got to drink out of my new favorite mug!
Right, totally cute! I got one for my Foodie Penpal awhile back and loved it so much I almost didn’t want to give it away. So when I was at Marshall’s I checked to see if they had anymore and just my luck they did!
Moving on to the real reason for this post…
Today is my Dad’s birthday!
He is seriously one of the smartest people I know. I don’t even know how many phone conversations I start with, “So, I have a question…” Wanna know the crazy thing? He gets me an answer! Whoa!
As you can see Dad loves fishing. Even if Spider Lake still alludes him…
He loves a good bottle of wine
Just chillin’ at the beach
"Looks like a big ol' beach..."
And can rock a mean cowboy hat
Still don’t know why we look like the Gregosky Family Fun Hour…
Happy Birthday Dad! You are one of the smartest, funniest, most caring, would do anything for his family dads :) He’ll also never let me live down the story of when I announced on one of his birthday’s, “You got big girl pants!” Hey what can I say? I was excited for him!
Okay maybe not your birthday, but it is this guy’s!
Holy crap! Look at how cute that kid is! I mean seriously. Do you know how hard it was to grow up with a kid that cute as your brother?;)
I know exactly where this picture was taken. It was when we still lived in Michigan and my Uncle Bill took us to this park outside of where we lived. They had a golf course (I think) and this little ride that went through caves and had animatronic dinosaurs and things. Oh, in case you couldn’t tell, Andrew loved dinosaurs…and mesuems (that’s museums for all of you not in the know).
I may not have always acted or truly been pleased with my brother, but I am so proud of him! He has grown up, and sadly that means so have I…
Seriously, not related...
But he has grown up into a caring, sarcastic, wildly hilarious, would do anything for you, man.
Happy Birthday Andrew! Even though I make jokes (Don’t worry he’s talking French)I am so proud of you!!
Yup, that’s all I got. I haven’t felt much like blogging the past couple of days. The weather was super windy yesterday and very foggy the day before. The perfect being lazy weather if you ask me.
What I’ll leave you with is a picture of my new best friend…
That’s not true. This girl will always be my BFF!
1) As I’m sure you saw earlier, I was awake at 4 today. No not 4PM, that’d be okay…4 AM. Not even the birds were awake! Okay that’s a like, they were…stupid birds.
2) We rotated math groups today in 4th grade. I overheard this right before I started my second session, “I’ve never been to her before. Is she mean?” Oh children, if you only knew…
3) I dyed my hair! Oh yes, I did! I really like it. I was afraid at first since it is darker, but now, I love it!
Weird smile, check.
4) The Hunger Games came out today! I’m soooo excited to see it! I really, really hope that the movie stays true to the book!
5) The yellow pollen of death has come to Virginia Beach…
Not my car...
It’s everywhere! It’s even on my windowsills (since the windows are open). I’m also convinced that it made Bond throw up yesterday. Yes, I’m blaming the pollen on that.
How did I move away from one of the worst places for allergies to another local with the worst allergies??
Oh well, at least here I get a beach!
Pretty sure I’m going to look something like this today…
But being up since four and never really falling back asleep will do that to you.
Last night Leanne and I saw Wicked!
It did not disappoint!
Leanne wouldn’t let me sing along with the show! Spoil sport!! Ah well, it was still amazing. I love all the songs and the hidden jokes. Which, by the way, a lot of the audience did not get.
Come on audience play along!
Anywhozits, I’m about to go on a run in my new shoes! Saying that always makes me think of Forrest Gump…
Howdy! Everybody recovering from St. Patty’s Day?
My St. Patrick’s weekend was pretty good. As you saw, Leanne, Phil and I did really well in the Shamrock 8K! I broke my Lenten sacrifice on Saturday to have some really good corned beef hash. To bad the service at Rt. 58 was horrible! They were really busy, but it’s pretty messed up when a table that came in after us got their food before us…not cool.
In order to get me in the Irish spirit I watched Notting Hill. What? That’s not your quintessential Irish movie. Hmm, who’d a thunk! Anyway, did you know that Lord Grantham is in Notting Hill?
I had totally forgotten about that! There he was still not quite in the same reality as everybody else.
Sunday, was delicious. We went to Terrapin and had there March Madness 3 for $30 deal. Everybody got a first, entrée and dessert; plus wine was 25% off by the bottle! A good night for reals. Oh and I may or may not have gotten some truffle mac n cheese to go…
Tomorrow Leanne and I are going to see WICKED! I’m super stoked! One of my favorite Broadway actresses, Kristin Chenoweth starred as Glinda in Wicked when it first started. So why not show a little K. Cheno love?
My New Philosophy
Girl’s got some pipes…Glitter and Be Gay
Seriously if I had even an ounce of her singing ability…
She was super adorable in Pushing Daisies
But I’ll always love her most as Glinda!
I had to help proctor a test today. One of the students in the group wrote that he loved his fourth grade year the best! Guess who was his teacher that year?? This girl! Nothing like a confidence boost while sitting and watching while others take a test for 5 hours!
