Remember when I said I didn’t like running in the dark?
Well that is still true, but I bit the bullet and tried it again today.
Right outside my apartment is the start of the Cape Henry trail, which is awesome! I did a 2 mile (I think) run/walk. I started out walking to warm up my legs (I also stretched beforehand) and then ran to the gate of First Landing Park.
I was really running at dawn, so it wasn’t as scary, but right at the beginning, I did think that hoodlums were going to capture me and pull me into the scary woods of the suburbs!
One thing the beach has going for it, you know besides being the beach, is that it has gorgeous sunrises!
A great way to start the day!
After my run/walk I came back to the apartment and did this Women’s Health kettlebell workout. I really like it and I can definitely feel it! I’ve taken a looong break from weights and need to get back into the groove, the kettlebell is really helping.
