It’s bananas, B-A-N-A-N-A-S

11 Jul

But I ain’t no Hollaback girl…

So yeah, have you seen the blogs and or recipes that say that if you take frozen bananas and whip ’em up they totally taste like fro yo?  No?  Well, I did and I really didn’t believe it, call me a skeptic.

Of course I had to try it myself.  Lucky for me I had frozen bananas in the freezer in case I need to fight off King Kong make banana bread, which I do…

Here’s the deal:

Take two frozen bananas and chop them into chunks, no peel!

Put them in the food processor

Blend them till they look like this…

Scrape down the sides and them let the food processor go for 5 minutes.

You’ll have to stop it occasionally to scrape down the sides some more, but no worries.

In five minutes you will have banana fro yo!

It really did taste like ice cream.  I put raspberries and chocolate sauce on mine, so good!  The only thing I noticed was that when I tasted it without the toppings, it was a little bitter.  I don’t know if this was due to parts of the peel still staying on?  But, I couldn’t taste it with the other stuff on  top.  Either way it was delish!  So easy too!
