What’s up slacker? That’d be me. I really have been doing stuff, I just haven’t been writing about it. This past week was get last bit of training in, yoga, and Pilates. This upcoming week is a taper week. That means taking it easy and not getting your legs overworked.
On Sunday, we watched the New York City Marathon. It was pretty cool. I have never done a full marathon, but I can feel their pain. I know how I feel after 13.1 miles and can’t really imagine going for another 13.1. It killed me that the commentators kept saying how slow they were going running a 5 min mile. Geez those slackers!
This weekend Leanne and I are doing the Outer Banks Half Marathon.
I’m pretty excited about it. As I know I have mentioned before. I love the Outer Banks! I am really looking forward to being able to spend a couple days in the Outer Banks; even if it’s not quite swim suit weather. To plan for this half marathon, Leanne and I are going to do a couple of little walks, just to keep loose. But, pretty much we are going to chill and keep it easy.
One of my favorite parts of training for half marathons is the carbo loading the day before!
So, on that note… Anyone have suggestions for where to eat in OBX. I have a few places in mind but am always open to new places.
Leave a comment on where we should eat. Really! I know you all are out there 😉
