I celebrated my birthday this weekend. I think I’ve mentioned that it was the big 3-0, so I wasn’t all that thrilled about it. It turned out to be a pretty fantastic weekend.
The bday celebration started with some of this…
Which was followed up by equally pretty and delcious food from Terrapin.
Other things that added to the happiness…
Seriously, the best. I guess maybe being 30 won’t be sooo bad. I mean how can a day/birthday be bad when it ends with cake?
Another Friday another high and low post.
High: McKayla Maroney trying to teach Jenna Bush how to Dougie
Low: McKayla Maroney got silver on the vault
High: This! McKayla is not impressed
High: My birthday is this Sunday!
Low: It’s my 30th birthday…I don’t want to be 30! Sigh…at least my students still think I’m 19!
High: Birthday’s mean cake. I still get cake right??
High: I finally saw Dark Knight this week. It was awesome! Seriously loved it. Tom Hardy was a great, creepy Bane:
Just in case you were wondering he did this regimen to get all crazy fit. I also loved the Joseph Gordon Levitt was Robin…I mean c’mon!
Anne Hathaway was a pretty convincing Catwoman, but Michelle Pfeiffer is still the best!
Ah, so there ya go! What are your highs and lows for the week?
By now we’ve all said goodbye to 2010
And hello to 2011. How has it gone so far for you?
It’s been an adjustment getting up at 6:30 again when I’ve been used to 8:30 or 9.
The drive back to Ohio was in a word, wet.
Rain, rain go away!
In Charlottesville Virginia we even drove through a cloud, no joke! It pretty much rained from Ohio to Virginia Beach. When it wasn’t raining gross salt water mixture was being kicked up from the foot of snow that the area got when we were away.
Today is Leanne’s birthday! Happy Birthday Leanne!
We had cake and ice cream and Five Guys. I know, I know, it’s horrible and bad for you, but guess what…we’re going to the gym tomorrow and will not be eating like this anytime soon. Promise!
Guess what else?! I surprised Leanne with tickets to American Idiot! Woo! American Idiot is the Green Day musical on Broadway. It’s cool, cuz I want to see it too
I hope everyone is having a great start to 2011!
