Yes, that’s right people. Motivation…on a Monday… Couldn’t we all use a little?
There are only three Monday’s left in the school year, 3!
Blood, Sweat, and Cheers! is starting a new series about Motivation Monday (hence the idea). I love the picture they used today.
Truer words have never been spoken…right!?
My motivation has been a little lacking as of late. Even though there is a gym two floors below me, I still find myself trying to think of excuses not to go. Dumb. It doesn’t help that my Runkeeper app doesn’t get good reception in the gym and marks my pace as 30 minutes per mile. Ummm no.
I’d be dawdling to use a new word study word.
This weekend was filled with going to a beer festival, good food, and art projects…
Long story short, don’t leave me with a sterno pot and chopsticks…
It’s Friday! The first week of state tests are done. There are still two more weeks left to go.
I’ve seen this on some other blogs and thought I’d jump on the bandwagon too.
So here it is, whether you like it or not, my day in photos!
Wake up! 6:00 AM
Drive to work.
School! I got to take all the butcher paper off the alphabet, so it was an exciting day indeed.
No talking! One of the other teachers had this pig in her classroom. It’s a pig (obviously)that oinks songs. It hasn’t oinked a song all year. When did it decide to? Oh on the one day where if anything out of the ordinary happens it’s on your head as a teacher…
Math inventory. It’s amazing that there was an abacus in my closet and I didn’t even know it. Does anyone know how to use an abacus!?
I love my student’s spelling skills. That would be dog, skank, swkank, and school. Of course the word they all wanted to repeat was skank…
Gliding while eating… This is at Rudee’s in Virginia Beach. I had not known about these gliders. It was pretty spectacular.
Happy Friday! Have a great weekend!
Moving is not fun. I mean like for anyone. I guess I’ll take solace in the fact that 2 people used the search term, “What not to do at Hogwarts” to find my blog.
Also, Bond seems to he adjusting well…
Sorry for the lack of posts! It’s been busy business around these parts.
I don’t have much to say. So why not force you to look at pictures from my everyday life?
That’d be 10 pairs of shoes…and I have plenty more in the closet.
Bond has he free pick of many different bags.
Taking off shellac nail polish may be one of the most time consuming and inconvenient activities ever!
Did I mention I might be a hoarder…?
Is what I’m going through right now. I don’t have cable or Internet. Fun times.
My cable company thought it’d be fun to disconnect my services 3 weeks early…
Writing blog posts on your iPhone is not the best.
I went to the zoo on Sunday. I saw the most exotic animal ever!
A cow! It made a little homesick, gotta say.
A lot of the exhibits were closed which was a little bummer…but I did see a cute Red Panda sleeping in a tree.
Happy almost Humpday!
I mean I know I’m on Spring Break and I can’t really complain, but I’m gonna…just a little.
Okay here goes. Downton Abbey. Really!? SPOILER ALERT if you (like me)were a slacker and are just now catching up on it. Again DOWNTON ABBEY SPOILER ALERT!!
Okay Downton…can’t any baby have both parents alive? First Sybil, now Matthew. Why, just why?
Well I’m not okay! Not okay, I tell ya. Blah. Matthew better come back as a ghost next season and keep the books for Lord Grantham. Lord knows he’s just flushing money down the drain.
In non Downton news, I went to the library today. Shocking, I know. On my way in two curious things happened.
1)There was a man outside smoking stealing the library’s WIFI because heaven forbid he stop smoking long enough to go into the library to actually use the signal.
2)I was walking past another guy, who was also smoking, (stressful day?) and he whistled at me. At first I wasn’t sure if he actually did because it was not that loud, but he totally did!
What’s up with that!? Eww weirdo!
And moving on.
Happy Hump Day!
Yep, Virginia Beach has some pretty screwy weather.
Yesterday it was 73. Today it started off in the 60′s. Tomorrow there is a chance for flurries in the morning…makes sense right?
I love to look at what people put into their search engines to find my blog. Here are some of my favorites…
Today – Dulles airport chapel sleep. Yes, it’s true, I slept in the Dulles airport chapel once…it was actually nice and warm and the chairs weren’t too uncomfortable. 2 of you wanted to know about that
Also 2 people were apparently “afraid of the dishwasher” as that was their term.
1 person also agrees with me and thinks Leonardo DiCaprio is a jerk in real life.
And a fabulous four of you also love wine as much as I do and used, “I love wine.” I think I could become good friends with the four of you…
1) It’s snowing in Virginia Beach
This can only mean one thing… Everyone must FREAK OUT!
2) Having my own private karaoke during school.
3) It took me 40 minutes to travel what should have taken 15. Again see #1.
4) If you don’t get excited about the Coen brothers…we probably can’t be friends…
Inside Llewelyn Davis
5) I made a list of all the things I wanted to accomplish at school today. Surprisingly enough, I got through the whole list! It’s amazing what getting to scribble something out will do.
And other reasons I haven’t posted.
But mainly because this guy has fleas
It was a super fun thing to find out about and then pay money to help eradicate. So if anyone has helpful hints for how to make sure they stay away, send them this way!
I walked over to a pair of girls during their play dough time today. I saw what I thought was a pink nest with one of the girl’s braclets inside. I asked them about it. This is what they said:
MG – Did you make a nest for your bracelet?
G1- No, it’s a cord
MG – What do you mean a cord?
G1 – You know like with a baby?
She had made a pink belly button and an umbilical cord laying on top. I had to walk away for a moment and then go back. When I went back over I asked where they had heard something like that. Of course the answer was:
“From the Cake Boss one hour special where she has a baby…”
Of course! Thanks Buddy!
Right before I left, I walked back over to where they were. What did my innocent little eyes see? G1 pulling the “cord” from G2…yep she was having a baby.
