Happy Monday!
How was your weekend? Mine was pretty decent, I walked 6 miles on Sunday! Go me and to boot it was a new route! (Ha, I’m a poet!) It’s fun to find new ways to get around a place you thought you knew all about.
For this Musical Monday, I am not going to talk about shows I’ve seen, rather shows I want to see!
1. The Book of Mormon
This musical looks hilarious. I have the soundtrack downloaded on iTunes and I’ll catch myself cracking up while running/walking
I’d definitely take my mom, I think she has some preconceived notions about Mormons… Also, I had to turn off the video because the doorbell rings were freaking out Bond.
Everything okay in there?
2. Memphis
Why? Um, I don’t know because now Adam Pascal is in it? Honestly, I find the history around how music, especially “race music” got on the air and all the controversy around it.
3. Porgy and Bess
Audra McDonald’s voice is ahmazing! Oh and I love Gershwin and Norm Lewis…
4. Million Dollar Quartet
Johnny Cash, Elvis, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis; need I say more?
